All Li’l Factory books are produced with care and attention to the beautiful crafts involved, relying exclusively on local printers and binders. Each release comes in a limited, hand-numbered edition.
The cover is screen-printed in two colors and double layers on ball band, giving it a tactile quality which - over time - will wear the print and reveal more of the fibers of the material underneath. In the case of Burns, we used Dubletta 3265 and handmixed the final colors on site. Once the screenprint has dried, the ball band is wrapped on 2.3mm carton. The illustration on the cover of Brain Fruit is a handmixed dark grey, printed on Dubletta 3255

Both front and back endpapers are in color, creating a contrast with the exterior. The Burns edition matches the pale green of the ball band with a dark red paper called Geltex 169 LS Red Gooseberry, nicknamed Tinto.
Each book is linen thread bound and awarded a textile capital band, in the case of the first two, a black and red, factory name 109590. Brain Fruit's endpapers is Geltex 181LS, nickname Clay. For the extreme collector, the first edition of Brain Fruit actually came with the same red endpaper as Burns, and five of those copies were set aside before the entire batch was returned to the binder.
For all books, the paper in the inlet is Munken Cream 18, 115g. The slightly thicker paper gives the book a solid and weighty feeling. Munken contains wood-fibers, which means that the pages will yellow and age over time.

Burns and Brain Fruit are printed in 500 hand-numbered copies.
